Cocoa Butter Vaseline

I’m not sure what was going on with my lips for about two weeks there, but it was horrible!  The best way I can describe it is my lips felt like a very dry patch of skin… Very tight and taunt, but no matter how much I drank or what balm I used, they never got better.  Enter a co-worker and her truth belief that Cocoa Butter Vaseline would be the cure… And it was!  Thank you B!  I now keep an empty lip butter pot filled with it, and the larger 7.5 oz. tub by my laptop.  I’ve yet to find the new Cocoa Butter Lip Therapy, but I plan on snagging it ASAP!

L’Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stains

I never really wondered much about the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stain (especially given their price), but once I heard about and saw swatches of the L’Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stains  I was on a hunt!  I’m so glad I found them, and I’m so glad they really are worth it!  We all know certain high-end brands have a drugstore counterpart, and in this case,  L’Oreal does own YSL so it was eventually going to happen I’m sure.  You must run over to see swatches of available colors on Allura Beauty, and she also has a YouTube video on them! I’ll try to post a review soon as well

Hello Kitty

Let me say, I’ve loved Hello Kitty since I was a little girl. I remember going to a Sanrio store and just being in heaven. I’m surprised at how many people didn’t realize she’s been around for over 50 years! I love anything with Hello Kitty on it (build-your-own phone case anyone?), and I’m lucky to have a wonderful husband who supports my girl-like love for the cutey!

My New Glasses

I haven’t had new glasses since about 2001. Crazy I know, but I rarely wear them. When I do wear them, it’s just in the house right before bed or when I wake up, so the cracked lenses that are losing their UV coating doesn’t bother me. Recently I was sent a free pair of glasses from Firmoo to try out (review coming next week), but didn’t like them as much when I got them. So, last week I took advantage of a Coastal.com discount on high-index lenses combined with their “First Pair Free,” and I’m so happy I did! (I have style JKL5007 Black Brown)

Feeling Relaxed

My family and I had quite a stressful year in 2012, and I pray that 2013 will be better! My husband and I are both at jobs we enjoy, and I honestly love my work environment. So far, the most stress I have is feeling like a ding-dong when I forget something simple, but that results in a nice laugh! I don’t have a lot of relaxation methods, and I sometimes wish I did. But somehow this picture of Santorini, Greece takes me to an inner peace I can’t describe, and it just reaffirm that I *must* visit before I die!
